Myofunctional Therapy

Restore proper function of the muscles in your face, mouth and neck. Treatment usually consists of 12-15 sessions. Throughout treatment I work hand and hand with other providers such as speech therapist and airway centered dentist to deliver comprehensive care.

This program is for kids that are 3-6 years old that would not be able to do a full 12 session program. This program is usually 1-3 sessions.

Habit elimination

This is an add on service to either myofunctional therapy program. We will incorporate 1 or 2 more visits to help eliminate habits such as thumb/finger/blanket sucking. The reason why this isn't a separate program is due to the fact that there is a reason why kids start sucking on things to begin with, and it is usually a myofunctional disorder.

About Me

Let passion guide your way

Hi there! I'm Amanda, a Dental Hygienist for seven years based in Colorado. I have a passion for helping people with their oral health and tying it into their whole body health. Throughout my career, I saw patients who struggled with common conditions such as mouth breathing and grinding their teeth. I knew how to help them to a certain extent, but I always felt like I was missing something that could make all the difference to these patients.
Everything came together, when we finally connected the dots with my sons developmental hardships. He had all the signs of orofacial myofunctional dysfunction; Recurrent ear infections, enlarged tonsils/adnoids, mouth breathing, snores, teeth grinding and needed speech therapy.  I wanted to be able to help him and knew that though these medical issues are common in kids,  that did not make them normal. My son and the countless patients I have seen with the same issues, ended up inspiring me to become a Myofunctional Therapist. I am so excited to help patients bridge the gap between their facial muscles and their overall health.
